It's that time of year again when I think of poetry for spring time. Let's see how many different types of poems we can post before spring break! My favorite style of poem is a haiku. Feel free to write a haiku or a poem in your favorite style. It doesn't necessarily have to be a spring poem, but mine just happens to be Have Fun!!!
Early morning sounds
A cool freshness to the air
Reminds me it's spring

Poems.
Never enjoyed them very much.
There are so many kinds with rules and such.
But I do enjoy funny poems that rhyme.
However, writing them can take a long time.
I remember writing poems in school.
Boy, that was considered uncool.
In eighth grade we even had a poetry slam,
It was about as exciting as a lamb.
Who am I kidding? This was fun!
I wonder if this will be read by a nun.
Oops! I forgot one thing,
This poem was suppose to be about Spring.

Very sweet! I've got one, too (and a longer one next)
Leap Day Express
Ticklish windsong
softened the towering skies
with the breath of Spring
Springdom Come
Dazzle my eyes with a wonderbright sky,
head spinning into the blue.
Give me delicious, a breeze and a wish,
and the greenery leaps into view.
Startled by senses, my fingers, they stretch
shaking wintergrey shadows away.
Kaleidoscope jingle, a rush and a tingle
as spring paints the face of the day.
A Spring Haiku
Rain is falling down
It's making the flowers grow
I think spring is here
Spring Time Poetry
February 29th is today's date
It's almost March, I just can't wait!
For Spring is right around the bend
Then June, July, they're my best friend
Leap day comes every four years
That extra day brings me to tears
For that's one more day I have to wait
For summer time when I celebrate!!!
