Hi Everyone,
I am Mrs. Whelan. I have been a teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing teacher for 15 out of my 16years of teaching. I travel to many schools and see students from pre-school to high school.
I have been married for 12 years and have two beautiful boys, Liam and Donovan.
My hobbies are jewelry making, soap making, and acting. As a family we love to go hiking and camping. I basically love anything to do with the outdoors.

Hi! My name is Mrs. Vincent. I am a hearing itinerant teacher. I have been teaching for 7 years. I got my degree from Northern Illinois University, where I met my husband. We have been married for 3 years and we have a 1-year-old son, named Jordan.

My favorite books to read are fantasy, historical fiction, and chic lit. I read books and listen to books on CD, also.

Hello! My name is Mrs. Redden and this is my 8th year of teaching. I work with students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing from kindergarten through high school. I have been married for five and a half years. My husband and I have a beautiful one year old baby girl named Madison, and another baby on the way. We are so excited to meet this new addition to our family! We also have an adorable dog named Roxy.
My hobbies are spending time with my family and friends, reading, scrapbooking, and going to the movies. Like Mrs. Vincent, I also love the Bears!

There are a lot of people who like to scrapbook! I feel like I am getting behind because I have so many pictures of Jordan to scrapbook. I think I am going to try digital scrapbooking...it seems easy. It's digital because it is all on the computer. You take the pictures from the computer and put them into a layout on the computer. Then you can order a book that they will print for you. I have been scrapbooking for about 10 years now and I love it!!!

Hello people my name is Nicole and I am a sophomore at South elgin high School.I love to read books by R.L Stine and Terry Trueman.I am hearing loss in both ears. I got this surgery to have an eardrum made it worked for a short time and i found out about a month ago that it didn't work anymore.
My hobbies are basketball and baseball I been doing basketball for about 4 years now.I can't wait to connect with teachers that teach hearing loss kids.
I wear hearing aids in both ears. I love them beause I can hear perfectly and also the colors they were a red n blue mixed swirl.
I know some languages like the alaphet and some words like me,my,love,I. I have a wonderful, loving family. A hard working mom and stepdad,2 annoying brothers but I still love them. thats all about me

I am Brandi. I am a student at SEHS, i am in 9th grade. I really enjoy school and learning new things. I love to scrapbook and read, I like fictional books. I really love romantic comedy movies, my favorite movie is the Notebook, but i really like the movie A Walk to Remember. I like to play sports, the sports i enjoy the most is badminton, i also like soccer and tennis. I can't wait to blog more.
I also have a dog actually 3 a Geman Shepard named Shawna a Yellow lab named Scooby and a shelty named Sampson. I love scarey movies there so scary its great. I want to become a chef and go to ecc I love to cook pastrys. Like mrs. Whelan I to love acting. I am Brandi, I want to comment on what nikki had said about her dog, I also have a dog he is 5 years old and he is a shih tzu poodle mix. He is very friendly and loves to play around. Also in my family I have four birds, three are parrakeets and the other one is an amazon parrot, He is the most irratating animal in the world, he never stops talking, always trying to say what the actors on t.v. are saying, but he never does. I really enjoy school and learning from others. My goal is to go to NorthWestern medical college and become a great doctor.
Hi everyone I am Zac. I go to Horizon Elementary School. I am interested in Club Penguin and playing football with my friends. I love to play my Playstation 2 and my Wii. Yes I wear hearing aids and use sign language. I play inhouse basketball,baseball and bowling. I live with my mom,dad,older brother,my younger sister and my grandma.Also I have four cats. They are Sugar,Chuckie,Sam and Sadie. I am in a bowling league and my team might go to the pepsi tournament, which means our team might be state champs.
Jocelyn and Nicole - I just read "Pretty Tough" which is a fun girly book about two sisters who play soccer. I also have read books by Mike Lupica, he writes lots of sports-based novels.
Brandi - Did you know "The Notebook" and "A Walk To Remember" are both written by Nicholas Sparks? The were books before they became movies. I read "The Notebook" as the book first and I loved it. Nicholas Sparks has actually written a lot of books.
Zac - I had never heard of Club Penguin. It looks like a lot of fun and I saw on the website that they are coming out with new books that you can read and also read online. Very cool!

I know sign language. I know asl & dsl. When I grow ^ I want to major in business education. I plan on going to college. I live with my mom, younger sis, & my mom's boyfriend. My dad & older bro live in aurora. Both of my parents are deaf. My family means everything to me. I like to have fun. I just got finish reading a book called "The Tree of Life" I rate it as a 8 out of 10. I luv working with little kids cus they can be so creative. I luv watching scary movies or comedy. I think dat goerge lopez is funny. I watch his show on nickeloden. I also like katt williams. I luv to laugh.
